Church Restoration
Our beautiful church is now showing its age and is in need of major repair and restoration work to the local sandstone walls and structural buttresses. These have eroded over time to the extent that we need to carry out considerable, urgent repairs. These repairs entail replacing some of the badly eroded stone and re-pointing the stonework with lime mortar. The pointing had been incorrectly jointed using hard cement during Victorian times, when the concrete rendering was removed from the walls. 

Restoration of our Church is a constant and ongoing set of projects that require significant work and funding. Currently our Restoration Fund for the stonework repairs is insufficient for completing all that is needed, we have therefore started a fund raising campaign to raise £35,000.
